If the President Benigno Aquino III named her as the presidential candidate who was campaigning over the social media sites, Miriam Defensor Santiago would have challenged him over a debate. Miriam said this last Monday.
Defensor was referring to the recent interview that the President had in Italy, whereas he was questioning the intelligence of one of the presidential candidates who had been making campaigns over the net.
Active on both Facebook and Twitter, Miriam Defensor confidently said that Aquino was not talking about her.
“I don’t think he referred to me, because if that is the case, I will challenge him to any debate on any topic under his presidency. But he was wise enough not to mention my name," she said.
She claims that it was a wise move not to mention any names when he criticized the opponents of the Liberal Party candidate Mar Roxas.
This is the statement that Noynoy Aquino said, “Ang isa, dadaanin lang daw basta ang kampanya sa social media. Siguro po, hindi siya mulat na hindi ka makakapagpatayo ng kalsada at makakapagpakain ng nagugutom gamit lang ang Facebook.”
