The victims of the Typhoon Nona will be celebrating a Sad Christmas for the damages that it has caused them.
The fatalities in Oriental Mindoro continues to rise and the number of damaged homes are too high that the province needed to be placed under state of calamity.
Based on the report that was released by the Oriental Mindoro Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, the number of fatalities is at 11, 1 is missing and 154 are injured.
20, 638 houses were completely destroyed, and 23, 947 houses are partially damaged.
The total worth of the damages on the infrastructures of the province is at 9.3 Billion pesos. It includes the national roads and bridges, dams, dikes, buildings, hospitals and schools.

Many families are mourning for the loss of their homes and their loved ones.
The Mayor of Pola Dodjie Panganiban could not say anything but, "Napakalungkot po ng aming magiging Pasko."
