The Miss Universe Philippines Pia Wurtzbach gained the approval of the previous representatives of the pageant for her stunning performance in the preliminary rounds of the Miss Universe Competition that was held in Las Vegas last Wednesday.
The predecessors, namely MJ Lastimosa, Janine Tugonon and Ariella Arida gave her praises on their Twitter accounts saying that what she did in the prelims was 'regal' and flawless.
The three women who praised her were all part of the top 10 during their time in Miss Universe. Janine won the first runner-up in 2012 while Ariella Arida finished as third runner up.
Pia was dedicated to bringing the crown home to the Philippines. However, the preliminary rounds for Pia was not all easy. She had a wardrobe emergency that stopped the designer Oliver Tolentino from taking the vacation.
He received an emergency call from the candidate saying that the gown that the organizers picked for her does not fit her. Tolentino did his best and sent her 9 evening gowns to choose from so that she would have something to wear.
"I took the call and told them I would do whatever I could to help the Philippines" Tolentino said.
